<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote diagnostic system which enables an accurate identification of a patient. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal device on the patient's side transmits image data captured by a CCD camera (SA1) and a patient number assigned to each patient (SA3). A terminal device on the physician's side displays the received data on a display device (SB2), identifies the patient from the transmitted patient number (SB4), selects image data of the identified patient out of the image data stored in a storage unit (SB5), and displays the selected image and the received image on the display device for a comparison (SB6). If two images displayed on the display device turn out to be those of the identical person after the comparison, the input patient number is determined to be correct, and the patient is identified accurately. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
