PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a printing plate suitable for lithographic printing. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a printing plate comprises forming a lipophilic image on a substrate of the printing plate containing a support having at least one hydrophilic layer on its surface. An aqueous solution of an anionic lipophilized reagent or an aqueous colloidal dispersion is ink jet printed on the surface of the support. The lipophilic image is formed by drying the solution or the dispersion applied, so that the surface area where the solution or the dispersion is applied becomes a lithographic printing ink receptive.
