PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a fan case hardly deformed even if the fan case is applied with force by an installation member for installing a fan cooling apparatus to a heating element, and to prevent the deformation of radiation fins when the fan case happens to be deformed and is brought into contact with the radiation fins, in the fan cooling apparatus which has such a structure that the fan case is attached to a heat sink. SOLUTION: The fan cooling apparatus comprises the heat sink 2 which is such that the plurality of radiation fins 22 are planted in a base member 21, and the fan case 1 which supports a cooling fan for supplying an air flow for cooling to the heat sink 2. The fan case 1 has an upper wall 11 and at least one pair of engagement sections 12 sagging from side edges of the upper wall 11, and has a projection 13 on a rear face of the upper wall 11. In an engaged state, the thickness of the radiation fins 22 opposite to the projection 13 is made larger than that of the other radiation fins 22. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
