PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately obtaining the specific heat of a powder granular material and a laminar film heat transfer coefficient around the powder granular material, while the specific heat and the coefficient are checked with temperature measuring data at the same opportunity. SOLUTION: The method for obtaining the specific heat and the laminar film heat transfer coefficient of the powder granular material includes a step of measuring the temperature of the granular material for the species of the granular material 12 and gas 13; a step of calculating the temperature of the granular material by substituting suitable numeric values for the specific heat and the laminar film heat transfer coefficient of the granular material by using first formula, in which an amount of heat stored in gas during a period in which the gas is advanced in a predetermined range is set equal to that moving to the gas via the laminar film around the granular material from the granular material, and a second formula in which the amount of heat stored in the gas during a period in which the gas is advanced in the predetermined range is set equal to that derived from the granular material within a predetermined time; and a step of collating the measured data with a calculated result.
