PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water absorbing article which is excellent in the suppressing effect on a rash such as a diaper rash by adding an effective component to an adhesive and is satisfactory in viewpoint of economy. SOLUTION: In the water absorbing article which has, as a constituent, a liquid-permeable surface sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and a liquid absorber arranged between both these sheets and in which the liquid absorber and the surface or back sheet are connected with a hot melt adhesive, this hot melt adhesive contains a eucalyptus extract. It is preferred that the eucalyptus extract is contained by 0.001 to 1.0 mass % in the hot melt adhesive. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
