The invention relates to a gas sensor (10), which detects a physical variable of a measuring gas, preferably for determining the concentration of one component of the measuring gas or the temperature of the measuring gas. The gas sensor comprises a housing (12), provided with an essentially cylindrical protective tube (21) on the side facing the measuring gas, said tube having perforations (22, 22a) enabling the measuring gas to make contact with a sensor element (13) that is fixed in the housing (12). When the outer surface of the cylindrical protective tube (21) is rolled up, the central points of three adjacent perforations (22; 221, 222, 223) form the corners of a triangle, whose internal angles, formed by two respective sides of the triangle are between 55 and 65 degrees, in particular 60 degrees. |
