The invention relates to a steering system (1) for a vehicle, which is configured as a power-assisted steering system. A steering shaft (2) mechanically links a steering handling device (3) with a steering gear (5) and is gear-connected to a servomotor (6), thereby providing a torque to be applied to the steering shaft (2). In order to reduce as far as possible the installation space and power required for the steering system (1), the gear connection is configured as a strain wave gearing or harmonic drive (8) and the servomotor (6) is preferably configured as a quill drive motor through which the steering shaft (2) extends. The steering shaft (2) also extends through the strain wave gearing (8), and a radially flexible roll-off sleeve (9) and the steering shaft (2) act upon an output flange (30) of the strain wave gearing (8). Said output flange (30) is linked with an input shaft (4) of the steering gear (5) in a rotationally fixed manner. |
