<p>The invention relates to a progressive lens L having a progressive outer aspheric or spherical profile in which the long distance vision area (2') covers most of the surface of the lens, thereby enabling perfect lateral vision from any ocular angle. The middle vision area (3') comprises a variable-width intermediary or toroid area in the progression from the long distance area (2') to the short distance area (4'). The inventive lens affords vision through the aforementioned areas, which is free from astigmatic aberrations owing to the inclusion of said toroid area (3') which eliminates the astigmatism produced by the progression.</p> |
