<p>The invention relates to the use of polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) in a laundry detergent composition to improve the oily soil detergency of the composition. The PVP is suitably used in amounts of from 0.5 to 3 wt%, preferably from 1 to 2 wt%. Preferably the detergent composition contains a sulphonate anionic detergent such as linear alkylbenzene sulphonate.</p> |
