<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a CO sensor achieving both of improvement in detection accuracy and reduction in power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: CO detection is carried out intermittently, presence/absence of a person is detected by a presence/absence detection means, and an output period of the CO detection pulse is changed according to a detection status. If increase in detection accuracy is necessary, a detection interval is shortened. Usually, the detection interval is prolonged for lowering power consumption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
