<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly anti-theft steering locking device of a simple structure which is improved to be assembled in a relatively easy manner. <P>SOLUTION: The steering lock device for selectively switching engagement/disengagement of a lock pin with/from a steering shaft according to the turn of a rotor comprises an interlocking means provided between a cylinder body and a joint so that the joint is also moved in the axial direction together with the cylinder body if the cylinder body is drawn from a housing, an axial direction movement preventive member provided in the housing movably in a direction orthogonal to the axis of the joint so as to be engaged with the joint to prevent the movement in the axial direction of the joint when the joint is drawn out by a predetermined distance, and a turn preventive unit which is engaged with an outer circumferential surface of the joint and formed in the housing to prevent the turn of the joint while the axial movement preventive member is engaged with the joint. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
