<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide which is flexible and easy to be applied to a large area, an optical waveguide device, a mechanical optical apparatus, a detecting apparatus, an information processing apparatus, an input device, a key input device, and a fiber structural body. <P>SOLUTION: Optical fibers 103, 104 are bonded so as to intersect each other. A stress light emitting material 102 is contained in the intersection. The stress light emitting material 102 is provided in clads 103a, 104a of the optical fibers 103, 104. A composite material composed of, for example, SrAl<SB>2</SB>O<SB>4</SB>:Eu and polyester is used as the stress light emitting material 102.
