A stress light emitting material 102 is contained in the intersection. The stress light emitting material 102 is provided in clads 103a, 104a of the optical fibers 103, 104. A composite material composed of, for example, SrAl<SB>2</SB>O<SB>4</SB>:Eu and polyester is used as the stress light emitting material 102.
