PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method accessing to a system event resister present in a processor or another memory location as a big endian register or a little endian register depending on an operating system (OS) accessible bit for endian selection. SOLUTION: This system and the method allows for the memory location 201 (typically the system event register 409) present in the processor 401 to be accessed according to the endian selection for the operating system (OS) accessible bit.
