PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an architectural structural material which is high in rigidity, low in cost, allows the use of screw nails or the like at the time of construction, and exhibits the favorable effect of the nails. SOLUTION: The architectural structural material 1 is composed of thin steel plates 2, and wood portions 3, 4 arranged in the thin steel plates 2 in one body therewith. Alternatively, there is provided an architectural structural material 11 which is composed of a plurality of thin steel plates 12 and a wood portion 13 interposed between the thin steel plates 12 in one body therewith. Each of the thin steel plates 2, 12 may be formed of a thin section steel, and each of the wood portions 3, 4, 13 may be formed of structural plywood or structural lumber. Each thin steel plate 2 or 12 and each wood portion 3, 4 or 13 are connected to each other by means of screws 5, 6 or 14 or nails. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
