PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornamental building material combined with woody and metallic textures in a composite ornamental building material used as an ornamental material for a ceiling slender decorative material in a room, a baseboard, a display household utensil, a counter or the like. SOLUTION: In the ornamental building material having an ornamental base material and an ornamental member engaged with the base material, the base material is manufactured by a synthetic resin blended with wood flour, and the ornamental member is formed of a synthetic resin base material and a metal foil laminated on a visible part of the resin base material. The building material can be easily worked at a job site of cutting and working or the like to exhibit a beautiful appearance in combination with the woody and metallic textures. Since the ornamental base material is blended with the wood flour, occurrence of a contraction is few, and a problem of release or the like after its execution is also few. Since the ornamental base material is engaged with the ornamental member, a surface waviness or the like hardly occurs even due to a difference of elongations and contractions of the respective members caused by a difference of linear expansion coefficients.
