Metal pigments for use in preparations such as lipsticks, nail lacquers, eye shadow, hair dyes, mascara liquids, loose or pressed powders, eyeliners, rouge, skin- or hair-care agents, perfume, eau de toilette or lotions comprise a metal core with a sweat- and saliva- resistant shell such that direct contact between the skin and metal component of the pigment is prevented.
