A system for assisting navigation of a vessel in which the navigator of its own vessel can grasp the operation schedule of other vessel. Scheduled courses of other vessels can be displayed on the chart screen of a radio terminal (1) in each vessel by notifying information on the scheduled course of its own vessel to other vessels using a communication means, e.g. the radio terminal (1). Navigator of its own vessel can grasp the operation schedules of other vessels from the displays of scheduled courses of other vessels.
