<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make initial establishment of synchronization efficient in a radio communication apparatus which performs radio communication by establishing the synchronization with the radio communication apparatus to be a communication partner. <P>SOLUTION: A radio reception means receives a signal to be transmitted from the radio communication apparatus to be the communication partner by radio, a synchronization establishment condition decision means decides whether or not the received signal satisfies prescribed synchronization establishment conditions, a synchronization establishment control means, based on the decision result, regards that the synchronization is established at a point of time when the received signal satisfies the synchronization establishment conditions while waiting for the initial establishment of synchronization, regards that the synchronization is out of step at the point when a period in which the received signal does not satisfy the synchronization establishment conditions is continued for a prescribed front protection period at the synchronization established state and regards that the synchronization is established at the point when a period in which the received signal satisfies the synchronization establishment conditions is continued for a prescribed rear protection period at the step-out state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
