<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore data in a nonvolatile memory even in the event of a failure by service interruption or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Memory management data recorded in a control area provided in every memory area are collected, and it is determined whether a memory area having the same logic address is present or not from control data. When a memory area having the same logic address is present, restoration of recording data is performed by using either new recording data or old recording data as the recording data, based on the number data stored in the control area of the head memory area of the new recording data.
