<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram recording and reproducing system having interchangeability. <P>SOLUTION: The hologram recording and reproducing system has a supporting section which freely mountably supports a recording medium consisting of a light-sensitive material, a signal light forming section which makes a coherence light beam modulated according to prescribed data incident on the recording medium and forms a diffraction grating by providing the inside thereof with three-dimensional light interference patterns, a detecting section which detects the diffracted light from the diffraction grating and photoelectrically converts the light, and a demodulating section which demodulates the prescribed data from the output of the detecting section. The detecting section is provided with an intermediate data forming section for forming intermediate data and the demodulating section holds a conversion table uniquely associating the intermediate data and the prescribed data and demodulates the prescribed data by making computation in accordance with the corresponding relation of the conversion table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
