TRANSMISSION RATE MATCHING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DATA TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method to match transmission rates of symbols channel-encoded in a data telecommunication system.

SOLUTION: The rate matching system and method which may be applied when using some or all of nonstructural codes (convolution code or linear block code) and structural codes (turbo code) is suggested.The rate matching system can rate-match symbols encoded with the non-systematic code or symbols encoded with the systematic code by inputting the encoded symbols into a rate matching block corresponding to an inverse of a code rate and by modifying only values for parameters (number of input symbols, number of output symbols, puncturing/repetition pattern ruling parameter) in the initial stage in one unified rate matching structure.
