<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data input device capable of automatically changing the layout of other operation keys by optionally changing the size of a specified operation key in a data input device having a touch panel arranged on a display. <P>SOLUTION: The operation panel part of an MFP (Multi-Function Peripheral) adjusts, when the key image size of size variable key is changed, the space of each key image group of size variable keys, basic keys and application keys after the change of size to change the layout of a screen (YES in S207 and S208).
