<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shoulder strap device which is compact and extensible. <P>SOLUTION: The strap device is provided with: first and second fixing guides 23 and 25 formed on a pad 20; a first moving guide 3 obtained by dividing an inner passage into first and second paths with a bridge; a second moving guide 5 obtained by dividing an inner passage into third and fourth paths with a bridge;a first strap 11 whose one end is fixed to the bridge 3b of the first moving guide and the other end of which passes through the third path, the fourth path, the second path and the first fixing guide in this order; and a second strap 13 whose one end is fixed to the bridge 5b of the second moving guide and the other end of which passes through the second path, the first path, the third path and the second fixing guide in this order. When being reduced, the length of the strap device is the same as that of the pad to make the device compact.
