PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera which can stably supply power to a radio communication block and an electronic circuit without increasing power source capacity of a whole image pickup device. SOLUTION: The digital camera 2 can transfer picture data which is once stored in a system memory 78 or a memory card 94 to an outer part through a radio communication module 84 by radio communication. A first switching regulator 66 supplies power to photographing system motors 28, 30, 32 and 34 and the radio communication module 84 but a CPU 76 controls a system in such a way that a photographing operation and a radio communication operation are prevented from being simultaneously performed. Thus, the first switching regulator 66 supplies power only to the photographing system monitors 28 to 34 or the radio communication module 84 at a certain point of time.
