PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driver information apparatus which exists on the road a driver is running and gives information as well, concerning curves existing in front of the next turnaround point to the driver. SOLUTION: A calculation unit monitors a traffic route so as to direct map indication enlarged more than an accommodated contraction scale, when a curve in the traffic route existing in front of a vehicle is not discriminated by the accommodated contraction scale and/or when the curve angle exceeds a given curve angle.
