PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transfer method by which only a person having access permission is allowed to browse image data. SOLUTION: When an image transfer device 1 is connected with a cellular telephone 2, whether or not connection (communication) is established between a communication part 16 and the cellular telephone 2 is determined. When the communication is judged to be established, the image transfer device 1 transmits a signal requesting acquisition of identification information imparted to the cellular telephone 2 to the cellular telephone 2. The image transfer device 1 determines whether identification information preliminarily stored in a storage part matches with the acquired identification information and when they are determined to match, reads the image data stored in the storage part and transfers it to the cellular telephone 2.
