PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of transmitting text data extracted from display data to other information apparatus whose operating program differs from that of the information processing apparatus. SOLUTION: When obtaining an operation of 'transmission to a PDA' from a user (Step S5), a transmission program receiving the operation requests the Windows(R) to acquire display data of one screen displayed at present (Step S6). The Windows(R) gives the display data within a requested range to the transmission program (Step S7). When the acquired data are text data, the transmission program proceeds the operation from Step S8 to Step S10 and transmits the acquired text data to the PDA without any modification.
