PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency heating device for appropriately browning foods without using a heating means such as a heater. SOLUTION: The high frequency heating device comprises a heating chamber 2 for storing foods 1, an attachable/detachable burning square plate 10 that self-heats due to high frequency generated from a magnetron 4 and supports the foods 1, and a control part 13 for controlling an output of the high frequency generated from the magnetron 4. The heating device has a lower infrared sensor 12b for detecting temperature information of the back surface 10b of the burning square plate 10, and adjusts the output of the magnetron 4 with the control part 13 based on the temperature information from the lower infrared sensor 12b.
