PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a trace data storage device having high data protection performance to improve trace performance and to prevent data stored internally from losing completely even if power-off occurs unexpectedly. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an input interface 21 to fetch data through an external bus 11, a trace controller 22 to acquire only the specific data which is needed to be traced from the fetched data, a first data storage which consists of volatile memories 24a, 24b to store the acquired data, a second data storage 25 which consists of a nonvolatile memory to store the acquired data, a memory controller 23 which stores the acquired data in the first data storage 24 and copies data from the first data storage 24 to the second data storage 25 if the traffic of the external bus 11 is small, and an output interface 26 to transfer the data stored in the second data storage 25 to an external storage device 3.
