COLLAGEN PRODUCTION PROMOTER, AND SKIN EXTERNAL PREPARATION CONTAINING THE SAME AND USED FOR PREVENTING AGEING OF SKIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin external preparation which promotes the production of collagen in skin fibroblasts to improve the tension and wrinkles of the skin. SOLUTION: The collagen production promoter is characterized by containing flavonol carboxylic acid or its derivative. The skin external preparation for preventing the ageing of the skin is characterized by containing the same. The flavonol carboxylic acid or its derivative enables to provide the skin external preparation which is used for preventing the ageing of the skin and has excellent effects for promoting the synthesis of the collagen, increasing the production of an extracellular matrix, and improving the tension and wrinkles of the skin.
