PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-based suspension agent which has good dispersibility, gives a favorable feel in use, and does not cause solidification at a nozzle tip or abnormal spray, is physically stable and keeps good dispersibility even in a long-term storage. SOLUTION: This water-based suspension agent contains (a) a slightly water soluble medicinal component, (b) at least one polyhydric alcohol, (c) crystalline cellulose-carmellose sodium and (d) at least one refreshing agent. The preferable contents of components (a), (b), (c), and (d) are 0.01-1.5 wt%, 3-25 wt%, 0.3-3.5 wt% and 0.001-0.5 wt%, respectively. The suspension agent has a viscosity of 5-400 cps and a size distribution of suspended particles such that the particles of≤10μm occupy≥75% and those of≤20μm take≥90%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
