PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to meter a liquid sterilant from a reservoir into a vaporizing system in accurately and reproducibly measured amount, when liquid vapor forms gas or vapor during a storing and a operating period. SOLUTION: The method is to measure and deliver a liquid sterilant quantity from such a container as the reservoir to the vaporizing system based on accurately and reproducibly measured amount, for gas phase sterilization / decontamination. In one embodiment form, the liquid sterilizer is supplied or distributed from the vessel to an accumulator at a first supplying pressure and at a first supplying speed. The supply of the liquid sterilant from the reservoir is suspended after a given amount of the sterilant is removed from the reservoir to the accumulator. A fixed amount of the liquid sterilant supplied into the accumulator is measured and delivered by exhausting or pouring the liquid sterilant into a vaporizing apparatus ( or a sterilized chamber where vaporization occurs ) at a second supplying pressure and at a second supplying rate.
