PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cook rice quietly by reducing the noise caused by vibrations made by a pressure control ball during rice cooking with pressure for a pressure adjusting device provided in the middle of a steam passage of a rice cooker and warmer. SOLUTION: The rice cooker has the pressure adjusting device 13 which sets the inside of the rice cooker at a prescribed pressure depending on the balance between the weight of the pressure adjusting ball 18 placed on a valve vent 22 provided in the middle of the steam passage 9 and the steam pressure. A part of a vibration suppression member 42 attached to the pressure adjusting device 13 and made of a rubber or the like is brought into contact with or made to to approach the pressure adjusting ball 18 in order to achieve the suppression of the vibrations made by the pressure adjusting ball 18.
