PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can effectively prevent an eczema, heat rash, skin fit or the like from occurring. SOLUTION: The absorbent article has an elastic area in the surface opposed to the skin. In the relaxed status, the elastic area forms numerous protruding parts 9a and recessed parts 9b that are hidden between the protruding parts 9a, created by pleating of gathers. Protruding parts 9a are moisture permeable, and recessed parts are coated with skin care agent S.
