PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein the sucking performance of a vacuum cleaner is deteriorated because it is difficult to reduce the size of a support body of a motor, and as a result, the area of an air-flow channel and the flow rate are reduced. SOLUTION: The motor-driven blower comprises a rotation shaft 27 projecting front/rear from the motor 22, bearings 25 and 26 disposed inside the motor 22 for supporting the rotation shaft 27, axial flow impellers 32 and 33, at least one of which is disposed on the front and rear sides of the rotation shaft 27 respectively, an air-flow channel inner wall part 38, and a plurality of stationary vanes (support bodies) 36 and 39 for fixing the motor 22 to the air-flow channel wall part 38. The support bodies 36 and 39 are capable of reducing obstacles in the air-flow channel and rectifying air currents at the same time as stationary vanes curved in the direction of the rotation shaft 27. As a result, the small-sized motor-driven blower with high suction performance is provided to be firmly fixed by a simple structure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
