BRAKING BAND FOR A SLIDING DISC BRAKE

A braking band (3) for a sliding disc brake (1), comprises opposed braking surfaces (7) and is slidably coupled to a bell (2) adapted to be fixed to a wheel hub of a vehicle, said bell being provided externally with a plurality of projections (4) extending parallel to an axis (X-X) defining sliding surfaces (12) for the braking band. Said coupling means comprise sliding blocks (13) which extend radially from the band towards the axis of rotation and extend longitudinally to protrude from the braking band in a direction parallel to said axis, and each sliding block comprises only one sliding surface, adapted to co-operate with an opposed sliding surface of a projection, and an opposed surface bounding an aeration channel (15).
