PURPOSE: An electronic stabilizer for fluorescent lamp using a piezoelectric transformer is provided to perform a dimming control function and an active control function by using a micro controller. CONSTITUTION: An electronic stabilizer for fluorescent lamp using a piezoelectric transformer includes a commercial power source, an input filter, a diode rectifier circuit, a power factor circuit, a half-bridge inverter, a series resonance circuit, a piezoelectric transformer, a lamp, a feedback control circuit, an oscillation circuit, and a micro controller. The input filter is formed with a line filter for removing EMI and a surge absorber for absorbing a surge voltage. The diode rectifier circuit is formed with a diode bridge circuit and a smoothing capacitor. The power factor circuit is used for boosting a DC voltage and improving a power factor. The half-bridge inverter is used for inverting the boosted voltage. The series resonance circuit is installed at a rear end of the half-bridge inverter. The piezoelectric transformer is used for discharging the lamp and sustaining the current. The lamp is turned on by an operation of the piezoelectric transformer. The feedback control circuit detects the current applied to the lamp in order to grasp an operating state of the lamp. The oscillation circuit is used for supplying an operating frequency to the half-bridge inverter. The micro controller is used for controlling the oscillation circuit, the power factor circuit, and the series resonance circuit.
