<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell detection method for reducing the effect of a frequency error due to a temperature change and a secular change caused in a frequency generating section of a mobile phone. <P>SOLUTION: The cell detecting method to acquire information of a registration number different from each cell on the basis of a radio signal outputted from a base station, sets a received frequency to a predetermined initial value, revises the received frequency into a frequency resulting from summing the initial value and a shift amount equal to a range of receptible frequencies when the acquisition of the information of the registration number from the received radio signal is failed and a correction frequency indicating a frequency with the highest reception strength of the radio signal is greater than the initial value, and revises the received frequency into a frequency resulting from subtracting the shift amount from the initial value when the correction frequency is smaller than the initial value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
