<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a cotton cloth to impart much improved sun protection factor, tear strength and light stability thereto by applying a rinsing composition to a washed cotton cloth. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating a cotton cloth comprises washing a cotton cloth and rinsing the washed cotton cloth with an aqueous rinsing cycle cloth softener composition, wherein the composition comprises (a) 5-25wt.% cation cloth softener based on the total weight of the composition, (b) 0.3-10wt.% specific fluorescent whitening agent compatible with the cation cloth softener based on the total weight of the composition and (c) water practically as the rest, and increasing sun protection factor to be at least 500%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
