PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with a mirror function whose display screen can be switched to a mirror and wherein prescribed information can be displayed on a display surface even when the display surface functions as the mirror and an organic EL can be also used as a display device and to provide an electronic device provided with the liquid crystal display device.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with an image display part 1 emitting image light for displaying an image and a mirror display part 2 disposed in front of the image display part 1 and having a plurality of switching areas A1 to A3 capable of independently switching an image transmission state in which the image light is transmitted and a mirror state in which external light is reflected.
