<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for preventing the oxidation of a molten metallic material (molten metal). <P>SOLUTION: A storage vessel of the metallic material which is heated and molten and/or molten and held is insulated electrically and an electron having negative elementary electric charge is supplied to the metallic material.
