PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polypeptide compound and its salt, having antibacterial activity (especially antimycotic activity, wherein fungus is Aspergillus, Cryptococcus, Candida, Mucor, Actinomyces, Histoplasma, dermatophyte, Malassezia, Fusarium and the like) andβ-1,3 glucan synthase inhibition activity and prospectively useful for prevention and/or remedy of Pneumocystis carinii infection (e.g. Pneumocysis carinii pneumonia). SOLUTION: The new compound having antibacterial activity (especially antimycotic activity) andβ-1,3 glucan synthase inhibition activity and represented by formula [I] (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>3</SP>and R<SP>4</SP>are defined in the specification) and its salts are provided, the method for producing the compound is provided and a medicinal composition containing the compound is provided. The compound has antibacterial activity (especially antimycotic activity) andβ-1,3 glucan synthase inhibition activity and is useful for prevention and/or remedy of various infectious diseases.
