ADSL MODEM AND ITS COMMUNICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the attenuation of a PILOT signal in a communicable range to reliably receive at the receive side, even if the distance between a center apparatus and a remote apparatus is made long. SOLUTION: A control table 12a stores signals so as to use only specified symbols among hyperframes being communication units of the ADSL communication as upstream signals and use other symbols as downstream signals. According to the symbols stored in the table 12a, the upstream and downstream are switched over to execute a communication. When a specified number of hyperframes are transmitted, a processor 20 controls so as to change them to REVERB signals at the head of the next hyperframe and transmit SEGUE signals.
