PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute an armature by externally engaging a core wound on a rotary shaft with a coil with the commutator so that terminating ends of the coil may not be projected outward. SOLUTION: In order to fix externally the core 3 and the commutator 5 to the rotary shaft 2, a recess 5d of a segment 5b is disposed at a distal end side of an axially long core slot 3c in a hole direction, the terminating ends 4a of the coil 4 wound in a plurality of turns are drawn from the slots 3c in a substantially linear state between arbitrary slots 3c in a circumferential direction, and inserted and connected to the recess 5d of a commutator axially opposed to the slots 3c.
