PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical propeller water turbine device shortening its length without increasing the fluid loss. SOLUTION: This cylindrical propeller water turbine device 3 uses a suction pipe 4. The suction pipe 4 is composed of an inner tapered pipe 41 (expanding angle 2θ<SB>41</SB>of 25 degrees) and an outer tapered pipe 42 (expanding angle 2θ<SB>42</SB>of 50 degrees) having the approximately same length, and diameters gradually enlarged toward the downstream of the water 99, these two papered pipes are mounted with the concentric relationship, and the water 99 flows between the tapered pipes, and inside of the tapered pipe 41. The tapered pipe 42 connects a casing 73 and the piping 9 at a water turbine outlet 79 side, and the tapered pipe 41 is supported by a plurality of stays 43. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
