PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process and an apparatus for preventing partition walls of a ceramic burner from protruding to extend a life of the burner by supporting the partition walls of the ceramic burner so that degree of protrusion does not exceed a threshold. SOLUTION: In the process for preventing the partition walls of the ceramic burner from protruding, a pipe main body is inserted between the partition walls from a lower part of the ceramic burner, a monolithic refractory is press-fit into the pipe main body 1, a piston 2 communicating with the pipe main body 1 is stretched toward the partition wall, and the monolithic refractory is solidified to support the protruding part of the partition wall with a patch 3 at the tip of the piston. The apparatus comprises the pipe main body 1 inserted between the partitions, the piston 2 communicating with the pipe main body 1 and a refractory-feeding means 7 for press-fitting the monolithic refractory into the piston through the pipe main body 1.
