PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material powder suitable for friction sinter bonding. SOLUTION: The raw material powder used for friction sinter bonding comprises a composite particle wherein a first powder particle serving as a core is substantially covered with a layer of a second powder particle. Here, the hardness and the melting point of the first powder particle are higher than those of the second powder particle, and the heat conductivity of the first powder particle serving as the core is lower than that of a powder comprising the second powder particle.
