PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-size spectroscope capable of measuring spectrum over a wide range at high speed with high resolution. SOLUTION: This spectroscope 1 is constructed of an optical fiber 4 introducing light from a light source 2 via an optical circulator 3, a collimator lens 5 converging the light emitted from the optical fiber 4, a flat mirror 6 attached to a rotary shaft connected to a pulse motor not shown in the figure and turned around the shaft, and a flat diffraction grating 7 fixed to a predetermined position. In the spectroscope 1, light converged into parallel light is reflected once by means of the rotational flat mirror 4 to be radiated to the diffraction grating 7. Subsequently, the diffractive light is reflected by means of the flat mirror 6 again to be returned to the optical fiber 4 via the collimator lens 5, and then, a spectrum can be obtained by an optical detector 8 via the optical circulator 3.
