PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove dust widely in the vicinity of floor surface of a room where an air cleaner is installed. SOLUTION: In this air cleaner, air sucked into a body case 1 is cleaned by a pre-filter 29, a dust collecting filter 30 and a deodorizing filter 31 and blown out of the body case. A lower suction port 7 for taking in air to the windward side of the pre-filter 29 is formed on the front lower part of the body case 1, and a passage 24 for taking in air to the windward side of the pre-filter 29 from the side lower part and the back lower part of the body case 1 is formed. Air in the vicinity of the floor surface on the body case front side and air in the vicinity of the floor surface on the body case side or that on the back side via the passage can be respectively sucked into the body case and the vicinity of the floor surface can be widely cleaned.
