PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper tray for a slot machine capable of automatically distributing medals discharged from a hopper device to one of a medal storing part, a medal feeding part and an opening part, and the slot machine using the upper tray. SOLUTION: A medal put-out port 21 for putting out medals at the time of winning is provided on the almost center of the front face of the erected wall 20b of the upper tray 20 and a medal put-out nozzle 22 is provided on the tip. The medal storing part for storing the medals put out from the medal put-out nozzle 22 is provided on the center of the upper tray 20, the medal feeding part 24 for receiving the medals to be led to a medal feeder 101 is provided on the right side of the upper tray 20 and the opening part 25 for leading the medals to a medal receiving part (lower tray) 311 below is provided on the left side, respectively. Further, on the front surface of the upper tray 20, a changeover switch 26 for moving the tip position of a rotary medal put-out nozzle to the medal storing part 23, the medal feeding part 24 and the opening part 25 is provided.
